LC-MS Bioanalyst

Full time/36.25 hours per week

XenoGesis Limited is a contract research organisation (CRO) based at the new BioCity Nottingham Discovery Building. We conduct drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic (DMPK) assays and consultancy to support and progress research compounds for our international clients. Following continued expansion at XenoGesis, we are now looking to fill an LC-MS Bioanalyst position within this fast-paced and dynamic company.

The role will be primarily lab-based and encompass both bespoke and routine sample analysis using LC-MS/MS for the quantification of small and large molecules in various biological matrices.

Educated to a minimum of BSc. level in a related discipline, applicants will ideally possess at least 4 years’ experience in bioanalysis and be confident in method development and troubleshooting in areas such as sample preparation and chromatography. Previous experience in conducting DMPK assays is desirable but not essential.

The role will be varied and will require adapting to a rapidly changing workload whilst working to tight deadlines and communicating effectively to both internal and external groups. Research Scientist

XenoGesis Limited is a contract research organisation (CRO) based at the new BioCity Nottingham Discovery Building. We conduct drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic (DMPK) assays and consultancy to support and progress research compounds for our international clients. Due to an increase in demand for our DMPK and Physicochemical services, XenoGesis is hiring a Research Scientists to join our dynamic and growing team.

This will be a primarily a lab-based position, and the individual will be responsible for the generation and analysis of in vitro ADME and physicochemical data.

As a key member of the team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Generation of high quality in vitro ADME and physicochemical data, to support clients
  • Building strong, effective working relationships with the internal team and clients where applicable
  • Generating written methods and reports and maintaining accurate records of experimental data

The individual will ideally have the following:

  • Relevant scientific degree (e.g. Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or equivalent). Pharma Industry or CRO experience is highly desirable.
  • Practical experience of in vitro ADME assays and/or quantitative LC-MS/MS techniques. Training will also be provided as required.
  • Strategic awareness and understanding and application of the critical role of ADME within research projects.
  • Flexible approach to work, able to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.

Operations Assistant

Founded in 2011, XenoGesis has grown to over 25 employees and is now a leading independent laboratory-based contract research organisation, specialising in preclinical drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) . We have recently moved to state of the art lab and office space and continue to invest in the latest cutting-edge technology, ensuring the best possible service for our global client base. We are based at BioCity in Nottingham.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an exceptional Operations Assistant to support in the following areas:

General HR administration:

  • Sourcing and implementing company benefits
  • Staff objective administration
  • Maintaining staff records and online HR system

General finance administration:

  • Invoicing customers
  • Collating financial information for grant funding

Office management:

  • Looking after visitors and meeting rooms
  • Ensuring adequate facilities exist for staff
  • Managing stationery supplies and facilities management requests

General IT support:

  • Co-ordinating staff requests for IT support
  • Co-ordinating PAT testing

Additional duties:

  • Answering telephone enquiries and collecting parcels
  • Administration of legal agreements
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Electronic file management

Our ideal candidate will have previous office management experience and can work independently. Excellent organisational skills, professionalism and a high attention to detail will be key in this opportunity. You will be proactive in your approach and be employee and customer focused.

We are also looking for the following attributes/skills:

  • Able to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills (Confident using MS Office – Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Experience in reception, office management and general HR essential
  • GCSEs A-C in Maths & English
  • Business Administration Qualification (beneficial but not essential)
