LC-MS Bioanalyst

XenoGesis conducts drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic (DMPK) assays and consultancy to support and progress research compounds for our international clients. We are now looking to fill an LC-MS Bioanalyst position within our fast-paced and dynamic company.

The role will be primarily lab-based and encompass both bespoke and routine sample analysis using LC-MS/MS for the quantification of small and large molecules in various biological matrices.

Educated to a minimum of BSc. level in a related discipline, applicants will ideally possess at least 4 years’ experience in bioanalysis and be confident in method development and troubleshooting in areas such as sample preparation and chromatography. Previous experience in conducting DMPK assays is desirable but not essential.

The role will be varied and will require adapting to a rapidly changing workload whilst working to tight deadlines and communicating effectively to both internal and external groups. Modelling and Simulation Senior Scientist

XenoGesis is looking for an exceptional Modelling and Simulation Senior Scientist to support client projects from early discovery stages through to clinical trials. The successful applicant will develop, implement and validate models using pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo data with the ultimate aim of providing a robust prediction of human pharmacokinetics and efficacious dose.

Technical skills required

  • Excellent understanding of theory, principles and statistical aspects of advanced mathematical modelling and simulation
  • Thorough understanding of the basic principles of pharmacokinetics (non-compartmental, compartmental, PBPK) and the use of pre-clinical data for human efficacious dose prediction
  • Proficient in the use of software and applications in the area of PKPD modelling and simulation (Phoenix, MATLAB, Berkeley-Madonna, R, NONMEM or comparable applications)
  • Proficiency in PBPK modelling software, such as GastroPlus, SimCYP or PK-Sim
  • Develop/code and validate mathematical PK/PD/Biomarker/Efficacy models to elucidate the quantitative PK/PD relationships in pre-clinical species
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarise outcomes in a clear and concise manner

Our ideal candidate will have industrial experience in the use of modelling and simulation to support drug discovery as well as either a BSc, MSc or PhD in pharmacometrics, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, mathematics or systems biology.

Research Scientist

XenoGesis is looking for a Research Scientist to join our dynamic and growing team.

This will be a primarily a lab-based position, and the individual will be responsible for the generation and analysis of in vitro ADME and physicochemical data.

As a key member of the team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Generation of high quality in vitro ADME and physicochemical data, to support clients
  • Building strong, effective working relationships with the internal team and clients where applicable
  • Generating written methods and reports and maintaining accurate records of experimental data

The individual will ideally have the following:

  • Relevant scientific degree (e.g. Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or equivalent). Pharma Industry or CRO experience is highly desirable
  • Practical experience of in vitro ADME assays and/or quantitative LC-MS/MS techniques. Training will also be provided as required
  • Strategic awareness and understanding and application of the critical role of ADME within research projects
  • Flexible approach to work, able to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team

General HR administration:

    • Sourcing and implementing company benefits
    • Staff objective administration
    • Maintaining staff records and online HR system

General finance administration:

    • Invoicing customers
    • Collating financial information for grant funding

Office management:

    • Looking after visitors and meeting rooms
    • Ensuring adequate facilities exist for staff

General IT support:

    • Co-ordinating staff requests for IT support
    • Co-ordinating PAT testing

Additional duties:
